Why do you go?
In the age of COVID-19 with no end in sight to the on-going travel ban, I’ve gone back and forth on building out the travel page. But, after a lot of time under my favorite rock at the beach, I have decided that taking the time to document and discuss the places I’ve been, the people I’ve met and the lessons I’ve learned is an essential part of this pause. Looking back on the past few years, I feel more fortunate than ever that I’ve had a chance to visit so many amazing places and meet people who are now family. And while I am still sorting out my purpose within all of this travel (the light and the shadow), I know that I could not be the opinionated bitch I am today, were it not for this collection of destinations.

Tea Tree Oil
I could open my travel section by talking about the places I’ve been, why to go, what you’ll see and do…but I want to start with the most essential and most basic item that I take with me on all of my travels. Tea Tree Oil. Antibacterial, anti-fungal and extremely useful in many a useful concoction. Take it with you.
Tea Tree Oil Air Freshener, Deodorant & Wound Cleaner
10-15 drops of essential tea tree oil
5-10 drops of essential oil of your choice for smell. I like lavender/sandalwood.
3 ounces of drinking water
Combine in an aluminum or glass spray bottle, shake and use.
